A National Trust thatched working Forge at Branscombe, Devon

Branscombe Forge is believed to be the only working thatched forge left in the country. It has been home to a succession of blacksmiths for the last two hundred years and the current smith, Andrew Hall, produces a wide range of modern and traditional ironwork hand crafted at the 17th century National Trust forge in the picturesque Devon village setting of Branscombe. Visit the forge and step back in time 300 years to time when all ironwork was hand crafted by craftsmen.
